Finance Analyst

We are seeking a skilled Finance Analyst to support our Disaster Case Management Program. In this critical role, you will oversee financial processes, including invoice development, expense review, and grant reporting, to ensure program costs are reimbursed accurately and remain within budget. This position requires a detail-oriented professional with strong analytical skills to monitor financial activities and provide actionable insights.


Key Responsibilities

  • Invoice Development and Billing

    • Manage the end-to-end invoice development process for the Disaster Case Management Program

    • Generate and review detailed billing reports to ensure accuracy and compliance with grant guidelines

  • Utilization and Budget Monitoring

    • Develop and analyze utilization reports to ensure costs align with approved budgets

    • Monitor program expenditures to prevent overspending and ensure compliance with financial policies

  • Expense Report Reviews

    • Review and approve expense reports submitted by team members, verifying accuracy and adherence to program requirements

    • Identify and address discrepancies in financial documentation

  • Grant Financial Reporting

    • Prepare and oversee all required financial reports under the grant

    • Ensure timely submission of reports, meeting all compliance and audit requirements

  • Financial Analysis and Support

    • Provide financial insights and recommendations to program leadership to improve cost management

    • Assist in preparing budgets, forecasts, and cost analyses as needed


Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field

  • 3+ years of experience in financial analysis, accounting, or grant management

  • Proficiency in financial software and Microsoft Excel (advanced skills preferred)

  • Familiarity with grant financial management, including federal disaster recovery programs like FEMA and CDBG-DR, is a plus

  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data sets

  • Excellent organizational and communication skills

  • High attention to detail and accuracy
